Sonnet CXVI

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove :
O, no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken ;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come :
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

~ Shakespeare

"Going To the Chapel" (or in this case...the beach!)

I am very excited because my cousin is getting married this weekend! She has always wanted to be married on the beach...so we are going to the Casa Marina Hotel in Jacksonville this weekend for the wedding! I am playing my violin in the wedding...and I am really nervous! But it's going to be fun! And I found a dress...seriously...I am so last minute when it comes to finding dresses for occassions. But it's really pretty and I will definately put some pics up when I get back! I am leaving with my aunt at 8am tomorrow so that we can get there to hang out and get last minute stuff done before the rehearsal and dinner.

Today at 4pm I am going to meet the little girl I will be nannying (starting Monday) and also their dog too. And then after that I am going to meet up with Hilary and we are going to UF's Shakespeare In The Park...I'm excited! Oh...and my dad's home! He has been in St. Augustine for the past two weeks working over there and he came home for good yesterday! And he is off until Tuesday...so I am happy he is home!

I just realized that I need to have a mark. party! I have been learning all this new stuff and I like want to share it with other girls! Hhmm...dates to have it? I don't know...March is so stinkin' full! It might have to wait till the end of March. But we shall see!

The Avett Brothers are coming back to Gainesville! I am looking at my ticket right now! (it's green!) hahaha...but my sister is getting so sick of them because I have been listening to them non-stop (she doesn't like folk music) and so it's good to keep her out of the room! (just kidding!)

Well...I hope that ya'll have a productive weekend...and if ya think of me on Sunday, pray for me please! I really don't want to mess up! I keep thinking to myself, I can do anything through Christ who strengthens me! *-*

I'm gonna try with a little help from my friends...

This morning I have been listening to my Across The Universe Soundtrack! It's amazing...they re-did a ton of Beatles songs and they are sooo good!! Okay, not as good as the originals becuase no one can top The Beatles! *-*

So I got a job! I will be a nanny for a 15 month old girl named Mackenzie...they call her Mackie...I thought that's so cute! I am so grateful for this job...I never knew how like bored I would be since we closed the store. Plus my only source of income stopped...so I am very glad I got the job!

My cousins wedding is coming up! She is getting married in Jacksonville on the beach...and I have the honor of playing my violin in the wedding! I really need to practice though, since I have been sick I really haven't been doing much of anything! (which let me tell ya is a bad thing)

Well I need to go tackle my bedroom...I need to get it done before I leave for a party tonight! Oh and I am really bumbed because I found out last night that Band Marino is going to be at Market Street Pub tonight...and I have to be at a party!! Oh well, friends are more important!!

Peace and Love!

It's a URI!

So I went to the doctor today after 4 days of cruminess...and the results came back that I have a URI!! (for those of you that never took MedTerm in college, Upper Repiratory Infection) along with a fever and the beginnings of a sore throat! Ah, to see my little Z-pac coming over that pharmacists counter was the best feelings I have had in a long time. Knowing total relief would be mine in a matter of 3 or 4 days was sheer bliss! I knew doctors were handy for something!

And as of a job...I got a call from my boss letting me know that there was a family interested in me and that I needed to call to schedule an interview! I'm a very excited! Plus she got me a one-timer for tomorrow night...so I need to sleep a lot and take it easy at school tomorrow so I can go and make some very much needed green-backs! The family I will be nannying for had a 15 month old girl named Mackenzie! (which is my little sisters name) She sounds so sweet and both our schedules worked out perfectly! So now there will be a lot of praying until I hear back from the mom and it wouldn't hurt if you guys could be praying too!!! *-*

Well tonight is a Total Lunar Eclipse...it's starts at about 8ish and goes till midnight. Full totality should be around 10:30-45ish...so hopefully these annoying clouds will go away so I can see this. There won't be one for another couple of years...so this is our chance people! lol

Peace and Love!

So what did I do...

So Valentine's Day was on Thursday and I actually had an awesome day! I went to school...went to my favorite place in the world, our art museum...and then I went home, cleaned and did a movie and dinner with two girlfriends and my sister.
Now I admit, that during the day my thought's did wander to, "I seriously can't wait till I am married so I'm not so lonely on days like these!" and "Why don't I have mr. right on my arm right now?" But as the day waned on, I really didn't think about it too much...which is great! At this time in my life...I don't need to give my love and devotion to a fictional guy that I have made up in my head! I need to give not only my love and devotion to God, but my EVERYTHING! Tuesday night at our college and career age meeting God really spoke to me through a word that my cousin had. It was about giving God our everything...and as I listened to him, God showed me that I haven't given Him my everything...specifically in the area of my singleness and making up a guy that will never be real.
So I made a commitment to God that I would give him my everything...God has me in this state of singleness not becuase he accidentally forgot me on his marriage list...but because of His plan for my life. He has something so big planned for me during this season of my life and I can't wait to see what it is!
I just recently started reading Did I Kiss Marriage Goodbye? by Carolyn McCulley...it's the best book that I have picked up in a while and God has been showing me so many good things through this book...and I would highly reccomend it to single girls who are tired of "being single".
So what did this show me on Valentines Day? I can have a nice, normal day and then have a super fun night out with my girlfriends and my sister and it not bother me that 1) I don't have a boyfriend/husband to celebrate with and 2) that the couple at the table next to us were having so much fun being with each other. I was so grateful to see how God was working in me...and it just gave me something to look forward to!
Sorry this is so long...but I am just so grateful! So there will be no more crying, chick flicks, chocolate and depression on Valentines. Ya I'll have chocolate...but I won't use it as a comfort food because I don't have a boyfriend/husband. And I will watch chick flicks...but not on Valentines Day.
Seriously...chick flicks aren't bad...it's when your mind and your heart play it up. Believe me I know! But by God's grace and his love for me...I will no longer be the depressed girl that wants to lock herself up in the house and mope around because I am single...

I heart Skillet (but not my whiplash)

So Friday night I went to WinterJam 2008 in Jacksonville and saw Newsong, Skillet, BarlowGirl, and Mercy Me! They are all so good and I was so excited to see Skillet live in concert. And the only reason I have whiplash is because John (the lead singer) said I could...it's a long story (but my neck is sooo sore!). But we had a blast...I was the oldest person (other than the drivers) that went but I still had a lot of fun with my sister and her friends! I got to see BarlowGirl again, I have met them before...but obviously since their rise to Christian stardom they wouldn't remember the geeky little girl they met 5 years ago!! Hahaha...but I got a pic with them, and Lauren complimented my necklace...so that was fun! I am so grateful for them...they have such a positive God-centered message! Their little thing is "Don't Conform...Be Transformed" and it's so true! I love those girls to death!

Okay so off my little groupie track! hahaha

...watching House...

It's been a while since my last post...and since then I have been doing absolutely nothing! I guess that's what happens when you don't have a job. But I have been talking to a lady who needs a nanny and I would love the position! (please be praying this works out!)
So I have consumed my time with re-organizing my room, which is really hard to do when someone else lives in the room that has a completely different idea of what organized is, and helping out around the house. Our house has been in a construction project since New Years...and with the store closing and both my parents working...it's kinda been on hold for a while.
I'm running again...which is a good thing. I can tell that it effects my daily routine and now I have more energy during the day.
NA is coming up soon! It's going to be here before we know it, and I am so excited! I have been going to the web site everyday...some of the blogs and sermons on there are so encouraging and one inparticular was really convicting. I am so grateful for our movement...
