~*Glorious and Mighty*~

It's been one week since celebration and what a week it has been! I didn't have to work at all (well tomorrow I go in) and school was the only thing that I really had to focus on. It was so great to have time with God and sit and reflect over the things that I learned this past weekend. I have been so grateful for the time and I know that once things start to get crazy again (like tomorrow) that I will have to remind myself of God's wonderful gift of Freedom. The only message that I still have yet to hear is Dave Harveys because I left to go decorate/set up for the coffee house.

Good news! I got a call from UCF today and they said that they just started to look over my application but...when I filled it out I guess I put my major under the wrong catagory (oops!) and so it turned into a little problem and I had to run all over town fixing that today! Just because we don't have a fax machine at the house. I guess thats not good news...but I think it's good because they were reviewing my application and I should hear from them soon!! Ah, God is good! But my life is still on hold until I get that letter in the mail!

So this weekend is homecoming weekend for the university...and sadly I will not be attending anything!! No parade...no growl...no game...which is so weird because I have always at least gone to one of those events in my 10 years of living here! But I work all weekend...7-3 and tomorrow night I am watching my brothers and sisters because my parents are working late. But there is a positive to the weekend!! My dear friends the Sagraves are coming into town to visit family and so I will be able to be with all of them and Sara is staying at my house...so yeah I'm happy!

...my heart is filled with a thousand songs proclaiming the glories of calvary...

Another amazing weekend

Well I am back from Celebration North! It was absolutely amazing! No distractions...no drama...just me, God, and FREEDOM!

The passage that was preached on this weekend was Romans 6...FREEDOM through Christ! My ESV has chapter 6 titled as "Dead to Sin, Alive to God" (vs. 1-14) and "Slaves to Righteousness" (vs. 15-23). I couldn't get enough of each message...and I wanted worship to go on forever!! (it will one day!)

We are free from so much!
Freedom from Satan
Freedom from sin
Freedom from the law
Freedom from the law as a covenant
Freedom from the curses of the law
Freedom from the accusations of the law
Freedom from the rigor of the law
Freedom from obedience to men
Freedom from death
& Freedom from the grave
( session 6 )

I am so excited to go over my notes and the messages! But I just wanted to update about the weekend! More to come later this week! =)

I would ask that ya'll be praying for me...I'm still planning on moving in January but I still haven't heard from UCF. I'm looking at attending the local community college, now called Daytona State College, if UCF doesn't work out and then maybe apply there again.
Pray that God gives me direction...patience...wisdom...and trust and faith that He has everything in control!

Amazing weekends...

So I went to Orlando this weekend and had an absolute blast! I love all my friends down there...they make it feel like home. =)

Saturday morning while I was having my quiet time the Lord led me to this scripture that just filled my heart with encouragement.

"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, Rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Philippians 4:4-7

As I walked around Crane's Roost that morning with my accountability partner, God just brought such a peace to me about everything that I have been anxious about. I felt a burden lifted off of my shoulders and I laid everything before the cross.

It was an amazing weekend...God is good and He is so faithful!!

"May you be strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light."

Colossians 1:11-12

3 Months

I can't believe there is only three months left in 2008.
This year has seriously flown by and so much has happened!
Through the trials and the tears, God has been so good to me.
These next three months are going to be very busy.
I am also going to start working on Monday and I need to juggle my volunteering hours in there as well.
And then there is also my time watching my brothers and sisters, plus I need to study for the many quizes, tests, and projects that are starting to come pouring in.
I never knew two classes could be so time consuming!!
Prayer request: I still haven't heard anything from UCF and I'm starting to dwell on the "what ifs". I would ask that you guys be praying that God give me the patience and also that I would continue to trust in God and that HIS timing in PERFECT!
